Who is Lori Secrist?
I teach 7th through 12th grade Life Science courses and I am an adjunct professor at Carl Sandburg College for Dual Credit Biology. Within the Life Science Pathway, I am a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Certified Biomedical Instructor, which allows me to teach innovative courses such as Principles of Biomedical Science, Medical Interventions, and Biomedical Innovation. I'm also involved in many extracurriculars in the school: STEM Team Co-Lead, NHS Advisor, Science Olympiad Co-Sponsor, and MS & Varsity Volleyball Coach.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education from Western Illinois University and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University.
I live in Williamsfield with my husband Gabe, 11-year-old son Duncan, two dogs, one cat, and fish. I enjoy fishing, hiking, watching my son play sports, and family game nights.
